England: 8-Day Self-Drive – London, Bath, Cotswolds & Stratford
This eight-day route brings together several of England’s most recognisable places without rushing between them. Begin around London, continue west to Bath and Bristol, then cross the honey-coloured villages of the Cotswolds to Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwickshire. Admission to the Roman Baths and Blenheim Palace is included, along with a traditional cream tea in the Cotswolds. The itinerary leaves room for independent choices—Stonehenge, Salisbury, Oxford or Windsor—while keeping the overnight pattern simple and practical.

Itinerary
Arrive in the London area
Arrive and settle into your first hotel. Depending on timing, explore Hampton Court, Windsor Great Park or Runnymede independently, or simply ease into the journey with a relaxed first evening.
London at your own pace
Spend the day in central London. Follow the Thames between Westminster and Tower Bridge, choose a museum or neighbourhood, and make time for Soho, Chinatown or Covent Garden according to your interests.
London to Bath or Bristol
Drive southwest towards Bath and Bristol. Salisbury and Stonehenge can be visited independently en route if pre-booked and compatible with your arrival time. Continue to your two-night base in the Bath/Bristol area.
The Roman city of Bath
Explore Bath's Georgian streets and crescents, then use your included admission to enter the Roman Baths. The remainder of the day is free for the city centre, riverside or nearby Bristol.
Cotswolds to Warwickshire
Travel through the Cotswolds, where your included cream tea adds a traditional pause to the drive. Choose one or two villages rather than trying to see them all, then continue to Stratford-upon-Avon or Warwickshire.
Shakespeare's Stratford
Discover Stratford-upon-Avon on foot, from Henley Street and the riverside to sites connected with William Shakespeare. Admissions are not listed as included, leaving you free to select the places that interest you most.
Blenheim Palace and return south
Visit Blenheim Palace and Gardens with included admission. Afterwards, continue towards your final hotel in the London or St Albans area; Oxford or Bicester can be considered if time allows.
Departure
Return to your London departure point. If your schedule permits, a final stop in Windsor can be arranged independently before the journey ends.
Clarity before you travel.
